Courting the FCC

Executives, lobbyists and hired experts from the nation’s four biggest wireless carriers have visited the Federal Communications Commission almost every week during the past 16 months as the agency writes rules for the upcoming auction of highly valuable frequencies. T-Mobile, which views the auction as critical to its future, called on the agency more than 3 times more often than AT&T and Verizon Communications.
