
Yesterday, PaperTrail highlighted the top 25 subprime lenders that were responsible for triggering the economic crisis, according the Center’s latest report, Who’s Behind the Financial Meltdown. In this week’s Public I podcast, Executive Director Bill Buzenberg talks to lead reporter John Dunbar about how these companies came to make nearly $1 trillion in subprime loans, and why the banks that financed at least 21 of them received federal bailout money.
