Andreas Harsono, Indonesia, currently works for the Pantau media organization in Jakarta and is also writing a book entitled From Sabang to Merauke: Debunking the Myth of Indonesian Nationalism.

He used to work for The Nation, a daily in Bangkok, and The Star in Kuala Lumpur. He also helped set up several journalist groups, such as, the Alliance of Independent Journalists in Java, the Institute for the Studies on Free Flow of Information in Jakarta and the Bangkok-based Southeast Asia Press Alliance. He is an associate editor of the First Monday Internet monthly journal. In 1999, he was a Nieman Fellow at Harvard University. He has a blog www.andreasharsono.blogspot.com.
