
Claudio Tognolli, Brazil, is an investigate reporter for the Jovem Pan radio station, a columnist for Caros Amigos magazine and a professor of investigative journalism at the Universidade de São Paulo and FIAM (Faculdades Integradas Alcantra Machado em Sao Paulo).

Tognolli was a foreign correspondent for the daily Folha de Sao Paulo, working in more than 20 countries. He has received numerous awards, including the Premio Folha de Jornalismo in 1994 for a story he wrote with ICIJ member Fernando Rodrigues, revealing how the kidnappers of a millionaire businessman were linked to 12 international terrorist groups. Tognolli has published three books, including the award-winning O Seculo do Crime (The Century of Crime) about the drug trade. His latest book, the culmination of his doctoral studies in biotechnology, is titled Genetic Fallacy: The DNA Ideology in the Press.
