This 2008 memo from the senior attorney at the Department of Defense’s Office of the General Counsel Standards of Conduct provides department ethics officers with the official interpretation of federal travel regulations.
These regulations for Department of Defense employees concerning the federal government’s ethics standards provides directions for correct behavior in the areas of financial and employment disclosure systems, post-employment rules, enforcement, and training.

These regulations provide the rules for the acceptance of outside-sponsored travel by all federal employees.
This database provides information on trips taken by DOD personnel paid for by outside sources. Users can search by destination, date, sponsor, sponsor nationality, and cost of trip. Searching by base name or agency is also possible. Searching by country will not include the U.S., which can be searched in destination and state boxes.
The "Base or Office" information was updated at 5:30 p.m., June 10, 2009, to correct a data inconsistency.
