OSHA fact 16

Lung disease is a common workplace hazard. The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health estimated this year that 1.9 million people have work-related asthma — and that’s not nationwide, but just in the 22 states where the agency surveyed adults. Among working or formerly working people, about 15 percent with asthma said their doctors told them it was caused or worsened by a job. Image from the Noun Project/ Hunotika.
