Elizabeth Hernandez

Kellogg Investigative Reporting Fellow  The Center for Public Integrity

Elizabeth Hernandez is a 2016-2017 W.K. Kellogg Foundation reporting fellow with the Center’s environment and workers’ rights team.

She called the Denver Post home for the previous two years as a breaking news and education reporter, with coverage ranging from the Aurora, Colo., theater shooting trial to an inside look at local "sugar daddies" funding college students' tuition.

Hernandez's byline has also appeared in the St. Paul Pioneer Press, the Boulder Daily Camera and the Las Vegas Review Journal, all of which hosted her as an intern.

Hernandez graduated from the University of Colorado-Boulder's journalism school in 2015. She is the recipient of the Tim Russert narrative journalism award and an SPJ Region 9 Mark of Excellence award, and was  a Damon Runyon and Chips Quinn scholar.
